Waxing/Sugaring entails using a heated wax or thick sugar solution and smoothing it onto the hairy area. Then the next step is to apply a strip of heavy paper or some type of cotton fabric to the heated wax solution.
Hold your breath because here comes the pain! The strip is then quickly pulled away from the wax removing all of the hair in the affected area. Because the hairs can sometimes break off at or right below the skin, ingrown hairs may be a result.
Many women use this process not only for small areas like the eyebrows, but also for very sensitive areas such as the armpits or the bikini line (Brazilian waxes…Yikes!!!). Note, this process can irritate the skin. However, it is relatively inexpensive.
